PLINTHS NEW YORK — 3-Year Professional Warranty
1. Warranty Term
Plinths New York provides a 3-Year Limited Warranty from the date of purchase, valid only when the product is registered within 30 days.
Coverage applies exclusively to manufacturing defects and is defined by product category.
2. Proof Requirements
To qualify for warranty service, all of the following must be provided:

Valid proof of purchase

Product registration within 30 days
-
Clear photos of the defect
-
Full-angle photos showing all sides of the product
-
Description of normal use at the time the issue was discovered
3. Definition of “Normal Professional Use”
For warranty purposes, normal professional use is defined as:
Stable, stationary display use on level surfaces, under standard indoor event conditions, without impact, pressure, excessive weight, or environmental exposure.
This definition excludes transport, loading/unloading, bumps, drops, stacking weight, leaning, or any force beyond calm placement and stationary setup.
4. Product Category Definitions
Acrylic Products
All clear, white, black, matte, mirrored, colored, ribbed, or sculptural acrylic items, including all trio sets, plinths, display sets, grazing risers, round sets, Escurvé, specialty displays, and acrylic tables.
Magnetic Chafing Guards
All chafing guards and assemblies with magnets or magnetic latches (CDM, CDR, HaloGuard, etc.)
Melamine Products
All melamine plates, bowls, platters, rounds, duos, and serveware.
5. Warranty Coverage by Product Category
5.1 Acrylic Products — Covered Defects
Warranty covers seam-related manufacturing defects only.
Covered:

Loose seams
-
Wobbly seams
-
Seams separating under normal professional use
-
Full seam separation where acrylic panels remain unbroken

Seam misalignment caused by manufacturing
5.2 Acrylic Products — Not Covered
Not Covered:
-
Acrylic cracks, chips, fractures, or shattering
-
Corner breaks
-
Impact damage (drops, bumps, leaning, loading/unloading)
-
Pressure damage from stacking or transport
-
Heat or sunlight warping
-
Damage from chemicals or cleaning agents
-
Scratches, scuffs, or normal event-use wear
-
Cosmetic imperfections (small bubbles, slight color variation, light surface marks)
Acrylic behaves similarly to glass; any impact can cause breakage. This is not a manufacturing defect.
5.3 Magnetic Chafing Guards — Covered Defects
Covered:

Magnetic latch failure under normal use
-
Magnets detaching from internal housing
-
Hardware defects related to manufacturing
-
Seam-related defects (same rules as Acrylic Products)
5.4 Magnetic Chafing Guards — Not Covered
Not Covered:
-
Acrylic breakage
-
Magnet damage from drops or impact
-
Hardware misalignment caused by force
-
Scratches, scuffs, or event wear
-
Heat/chemical damage
5.5 Melamine Products — Covered Defects
Melamine is highly durable; defects appear immediately.
Covered:

Warping on arrival
-
Molding defects
-
Structural failure of melamine material
-
Coating delamination (if applicable)
5.6 Melamine Products — Not Covered
Not Covered:
-
Scratches from utensils
-
Scuffs from stacking
-
Staining or discoloration from food dyes
-
Heat damage from commercial dishwashers above recommended settings

Normal wear from repeated event use
6. Environmental & Storage Exclusions
The warranty does not cover damage resulting from:

Exposure to excessive heat, cold, humidity, or direct sunlight
-
Storage in vehicles, hot warehouses, or unventilated environments
-
Weight or pressure applied during storage
-
Improper packing, transport, or stacking
-
Any condition outside standard controlled indoor event use
7. Intentional or Negligent Damage Exclusion
This warranty does not cover:

Intentional damage of any kind
-
Damage resulting from negligent handling
-
Damage inflicted to obtain warranty replacement
Any evidence of misuse voids coverage.
8. Shipping Damage (Separate Policy)
Shipping damage is not part of the warranty and is processed separately.
To qualify:

Must be reported within 48 hours of delivery
-
Must include photos of exterior packaging, interior packaging, and damaged product
-
Must include order number
Claims after 48 hours cannot be approved due to carrier requirements.
9. Warranty Claim Process

10. Replacement Policy

Replacements are for the individual defective piece only, not full sets.

Refunds are not provided under this warranty.

Replacement items do not restart or extend the original warranty term.

Replacements are shipped according to our standard fulfillment process.
11. Non-Transferability & Limitations

Warranty applies only to the original purchaser

Non-transferable to secondary owners
-
Does not cover indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
